The Kid Says...

Sunday morning, 8 AM, and my kid is wide awake. He has just crawled into my bed with one pressing issue on his mind.

He can't believe a boy and a girl can be twins!

Does anyone out there want to tackle this on a Sunday morning?

We have two sets of girl/boy twins in our family, so I said, "I been told you twins could be a boy and a girl. Like (set A) and (set B) that we know. Plus W (boy) and H (girl) from school are twins." So he knew, but didn't know, if you get what I mean.

Of course, he didn't get the concept of fraternal twins in general--on some level, despite all the evidence to the contrary, he thinks of twins as identical only.
