But, oh my God y'all, I just heard one of my (male) co-workers tell a female student that she got points off an exam because part of what she wrote was "too feminist for today."
I hope she complained - academics (I speak as one by the one) should judge whether the argument hangs together, not whether we necessarily agree with it (within boundaries on not condoning discriminatory or hate speech of course).

Oh, geez. That is just ridiculous.
Awesome. Love those "liberal academics".
you gotta be kidding? that is outrageous!
I'm so, so serious, unfortunately.
So he's saying feminism is only allowed on certain days now?
Stentor, he was saying that her argument was better suited to the past--you know, before women overcame.
I guess HE would know...
SERIOUSLY!? big time wtf

Nice to know that the liberal condition continues on. Don't you just love progressive spheres.
What Stentor said would have been a great comeback if only the student had thought of it.
I only wish I had students who were "too feminist"--whatever that means. Where is this student? And would she like to take a class from me? Please?
