I went to an old country (Texas) cemetery this past weekend, looking for some of my long-lost relatives who are suppose to be buried there. I never found the relatives, but what I did find were symbols of pride (like the bumper sticker you found): monuments, memorials, and flags. Confederate flags. Everywhere. Probably 1/4 of the graves in this particular cemetery were for confederate soliders. I was saddened on a whole host of levels.

All I can do, elle, is shake my head and hope and pray that the bumper sticker wasn't on one of MY relatives cars. But it probably was. Sigh.
Just a brief reminder that I did not choose my family...and that I regularly remind them that I think they are idiots.
Sometimes makes you think that vandalism is justified, huh.
